El Foro Social

Thousands of participants and organizations from around the americas decended on the San Carlos Univisity in Guatemala City last week for the social forum. One of the raddest things were the many new murals and graffitti that sprang up all over campus that week. Some art and politics displayed themselves on the security doors of Zona Una shops but I didn´t catch those on camera.

Hasta La Victoria,
Kristina

Cool man. I am supposed to be writing a term paper right now, but decided I would look at your blog instead on the off chance it had been updated since I last was on here. I love the pics!

Life is good here in Tucson. My sis is coming out maybe for thanksgiving, and then planning on moving down here in January- I am SUPER excited about that. Maybe the two of you can job hunt together when you get back! She is planning on hanging out until May, going back with me for the wedding, and then seeing what happens next. I'm stoked that she's going to live with me!! I can't wait to convert her into a Tucson-lover.

Kerrie is getting suddenly more round. I guess that's what happens around 4-5 months. It's kind of amazing. She feels the baby playing Taiko on the inside whenever she is practicing the drums. She also just got promoted to be the new supervisor at her healthy families site. So that's exciting too.

Dave is in DC until wednesday presenting info on some obscure bug brain thing- but he's going to get to see my undergrad adviser who is about to retire, so that's exciting. Also some of our Obie friends are going to be at the conference.

That's about all for updates! Back to writing...
